Y-type filter
The SCF-Y type filter is a small device used to remove solids contained in liquids. It can protect compressors, pumps, and other equipment and instruments to ensure normal operation and functioning, achieving a stable process and ensuring safety. Additionally, it plays a very important role in improving product quality. The Y-type series filters are suitable for steam, air, kerosene, water, weakly corrosive gases, and liquids.
Dirty water enters from the filter inlet, first passing through the coarse filter screen to remove larger particles, then reaching the fine filter screen. During filtration, the fine filter screen gradually accumulates dirt and impurities from the water, forming a filter impurity layer. Because the impurity layer accumulates on the inside of the fine filter screen, a pressure difference forms on the inside and outside of the fine filter screen. When the pressure difference of the self-cleaning filter reaches the preset value, a switch signal is sent to the control box PLC system to start a cleaning cycle. Cleaning process: The cleaning mechanism of the fully automatic negative pressure suction filter is a stainless steel spiral up-and-down moving suction scanner. It is hollow in structure, with several suction nozzles vertically distributed at certain distances along its axis. The inside of the suction scanner communicates with the 3” drain valve. When the drain valve opens, the pressure difference between the internal water pressure of the filter and the external atmospheric pressure generates strong suction at each suction nozzle. At each suction nozzle, water flows rapidly from outside to inside in reverse, washing impurities attached to the inner wall of the filter screen into the suction nozzle, through the hollow shaft of the suction scanner, then discharged through the drain valve, completing the cleaning process which takes about 30-60 seconds. At this time, the pressure difference returns to normal, the cleaning process ends, and filtration resumes. During cleaning, the system continues to flow.

Structure and Working Principle
The SCF-Y type filter is an indispensable device in the pipeline series for transporting media. It is usually installed at the inlet of pressure reducing valves, pressure relief valves, constant water level valves, or other equipment to remove impurities from the medium, protecting valves and equipment for normal use. This filter features advanced structure, low resistance, and easy drainage. Applicable media include water, oil, and gas. The filter screen can be made according to user requirements, with a basically identical appearance (Y-type). All internal parts are made of stainless steel, making it sturdy and durable. When cleaning is needed, simply remove the detachable filter cartridge, remove the filtered impurities, and reinstall it, making maintenance very convenient. The filter is small in size, has fine mesh, low resistance, high efficiency, easy installation and maintenance, low cost, and short drainage time. For general small models, it only takes 5-10 minutes.
Working Principle: This product is installed at the front end of various matching valves in the water inlet pipeline. When the medium in the pipeline first enters the filter, it passes through the filter screen into the connected valve, while impurities remain inside the filter barrel, preventing various valves from malfunctioning due to mechanical debris jamming the sealing ring.
Technical Parameters:
1. Suitable Materials:
a. Weakly corrosive materials in chemical and petrochemical production, such as water, ammonia, oil products, hydrocarbons, etc.;
b. Corrosive materials in chemical production, such as caustic soda, soda ash, concentrated and dilute sulfuric acid, carbonic acid, acetic acid, ester acid, etc.;
c. Low-temperature materials in refrigeration, such as liquid methane, liquid ammonia, liquid oxygen, and various refrigerants;
d. Materials with sanitary requirements in light industry food and pharmaceutical production, such as beer, beverages, dairy products, grain slurry, and medical supplies.
2. Filtration Precision: 10-480 mesh (generally water mesh is 18-30 mesh/cm², air mesh is 40-100 mesh/cm², oil mesh is 100-480 mesh/cm²).
3. Operating Temperature: ≤90℃
4. Nominal Diameter: DN25—DN600mm
5. Nominal Pressure: PN ≤ 1.6Mpa (other working pressures can be designed according to user requirements)
6. Flange Standard: GB81-59 (can also be manufactured according to user requirements)
7. Shell Material: A3, 304, 304L, 316, 316L
8. Sealing Materials: PTFE, Nitrile Rubber, Oil-resistant Asbestos Rubber
Installation and Use:
The Y-type filter can be installed horizontally or vertically, but attention should be paid to ensure the water flow direction is consistent with the arrow direction on the shell. When installed vertically, the water flow direction should be from top to bottom.
