Water pollution incidents frequently occur domestically. The primary task of the National Environmental Protection Department focuses on the water resource market and pollution prevention work. However, recent tests by inspectors have inadvertently detected plasticizers in the water quality of lakes in some domestic regions, and this pollutant is also found in parts of major river basins such as the Yellow River and the Yangtze River. Water pollution is becoming increasingly severe, with various previously unheard-of pollutants appearing frequently. The crisis of drinking water safety is imminent. The question is, how can we save our country's water resource environment from pollution? How can we stop this endless destruction of natural resources? The development of today's society, whether urbanization or rural economic growth, invisibly exerts pressure on the Earth's natural environment. Urban garbage incineration, sewage discharge, and pollution caused by livestock farming in rural areas are also immeasurable. Even the recent food safety incident in Taiwan involving a carcinogenic substance "plasticizer" has raised concerns about food safety. It is truly baffling that such substances have appeared in multiple river basins in our country. The pollution caused by these substances to water bodies cannot be explained in just a few words. To prevent further tragedies and disasters, the National Environmental Protection Department has resolutely decided to severely punish manufacturers who violate factory discharge standards. Water resources, which are shared by all humanity, cannot be arbitrarily damaged by illegal manufacturers. To save our country's water resource environment from pollution, we must enhance environmental protection awareness and promote the traditional virtues of protecting the environment and conserving resources. Together, we can create a beautiful environment with green mountains and clear waters.
Application Characteristics of Self-Cleaning Filters in Circulating Water
Circulating cooling water is a major water use in industrial water consumption. In industries such as petrochemical, electric power, steel, and metallurgy, the use of circulating cooling water accounts for 50% to 90% of the total water consumption of enterprises. In industrial production, as the operating cycle extends and the concentration factor increases, factors such as suspended substances and dust caused by microbial growth lead to changes in water quality, resulting in frequent problems such as heat exchanger scaling, corrosion, and continuous accumulation of impurities and suspended solids in pipelines, which form solid substances. These issues increase energy consumption, reduce equipment service life, and create safety hazards. Different supplementary water sources affect the cycle and severity of these problems. How to reasonably control water quality parameters to improve water reuse rate, save water resources, and greatly improve the overall condition of circulating cooling water is crucial. Self-cleaning filters can effectively remove accumulated impurities in the water, significantly reducing energy consumption; secondly, self-cleaning filters achieve online cleaning without interrupting flow, ensuring system flow throughout the circulation system; thirdly, self-cleaning filters require no manual operation, especially for some high-temperature water, greatly reducing labor intensity and risk; fourthly, self-cleaning filters can be remotely monitored and controlled online through PLC systems, facilitating the inspection of system stability. It is also necessary to establish effective monitoring methods for circulating cooling water systems, monitor water quality stability online, and accurately control the dosing of circulating water chemicals. Intelligent monitoring technology and data acquisition systems have made significant progress, and by calculating the scale inhibitor's inhibition rate, the scale inhibition effect can be evaluated. A method for evaluating the scale inhibition effect of water treatment technology before scale prevention technology evaluation has been proposed. Despite various tests and selections, online optimization of on-site water treatment schemes has not been completed.
Filters in Agricultural Irrigation Systems
The application of self-cleaning filters in agricultural drip irrigation systems is very widespread. Currently, in the Xinjiang and Ningxia regions, the national government is strongly promoting drip irrigation systems like never before. However, the selection of self-cleaning filters is crucial, as their role in agriculture and drip irrigation systems is irreplaceable. Commonly known as mesh filters in agriculture, the system also involves related water treatment equipment such as hydrocyclone sand separators, disc filters, and shallow sand filters used in combination. The more mature system engineering commonly uses a three-stage system: first-stage hydrocyclone sand separator, second-stage mesh self-cleaning filter, and third-stage disc filter. The mesh filter generally has a precision of 120 mesh. To better ensure water quality, a shallow sand filter device may be added to work in conjunction, greatly addressing the water scarcity and rational utilization issues in Xinjiang and Ningxia. Self-cleaning filters have played a very positive role in the development of agriculture.
